St. Peter's MOPS

....Celebrating Motherhood

What is MOPS?

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers.  MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom — urban, suburban, and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms — moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be!  MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.

MOPS offers moms the opportunity to share concerns, explore areas of creativity, and hear information on topics that equip them for the responsibilities of family and community.

A typical MOPS morning features a speaker presenting information on topics such as marriage, parenting, discipline, relationships, nutrition, health and spiritual growth.  The presentation is usually followed by small group discussion and/or a creative activity or craft.  There is always an array of delicious food to enjoy throughout the morning as well.

While moms relax and refresh, the MOPPETS  program lovingly cares for their children.

Our MOPS group meets at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Eastpointe  from 9:00 - 11:00 AM on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from September through May.  Registration is required - $20 annual registration fee that goes directly to MOPS International and a $3 per meeting fee to help defray the many costs associated with MOPS, such as craft materials for moms and children, snacks, decorations, door prizes, administrative expenses, etc.  Scholarships are available!
